Hi, I’m Lacy, a mom of two, passionate about art education, connecting with my community, and making messes. I am also the founder of TN Art Yard.

I have a BFA in studio art and over 10 years of teaching experience. I have a heavy teaching background in differentiated learning as well as community education, and I love discovering new ways that children learn. My teacher experience includes a background in museum education, secondary education, and of course early childhood. I not only have a passion for education, but as an artist myself, I believe there is no better avenue of self discovery than hands on learning and creative play.

Hello, everyone! I’m Whitney.

I was born and raised in Louisiana where I received a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art, met my husband Darren, and then eventually moved up to the Nashville area right after we got married in 2013. I worked as a Graphic Designer for over 7 years but after having two children, I made the decision to stay home!

Since being a full time mom, I have started a small watercolor business where I paint home portraits for people all around the country. You can see my work here.

I’m excited to be teaching classes here in Hendersonville to teach and encourage our kids to explore their creativity!

Hi! I’m Shay and I love working with children and families to create! From elementary school special education teacher to teaching students abroad, I’ve worked in lots of different settings and am a huge fan of process based learning!

As the daughter and granddaughter of professional artists, I’ve always been drawn to the visual and creative arts. When I decided to stay at home with my first child, I was able to pursue opportunities that helped me to blend my love of education and art in new and creative ways, including my own small embroidery business.

Teaching with TN Art Yard in Nashville is an absolute dream and I’m so excited to work with families throughout our community as we explore different themes and make art together!

Hello everyone! My name is Annika, mama to sweetest little love, and I love facilitating experiences for others to learn through process art and play.

While I don’t have a background in art or education, I find that my experience as a physical therapist over the past 9 years has allowed many opportunities for creative planning and problem solving to help people learn something new and to grow. Whether it’s painting, fiber arts, or modeling with clay, I’ve always loved arts and crafts and continue to do so. After becoming a mom,  there’s something so unique passing on that joy to my daughter and watching her as she experiences these tools and independent creation for the first time, and that made me super excited to join TN Art Yard!

Over the past year I’ve been helping facilitate birthday parties and market events. It’s a magical experience watching our families and kiddos create, explore, and celebrate together. I genuinely want to thank you for allowing me to partner with you and your families as your kiddos explore and grow their imagination with us!
