Kids Clay Workshop

Class Description

Join us at TN Art Yard for an exciting and creative journey into the world of clay! Ages: 7-12 Dates: June 17 and 19 Time: 1:00-4:00 pm Location: Spring Hill Studio (5337 Main St) Our workshop is designed to provide kids with hands-on experiences in hand-building activities with air dry and polymer clay. Through engaging projects that celebrate diverse cultures, the natural world, animals and artifacts, participants will gain a deeper appreciation for clay hand building while developing their artistic skills and creativity. Hand-Building Activities: We will explore various hand-building techniques, such as pinch pots, coil pots, and slab construction. They will have the opportunity to bring their imaginative ideas to life through the tactile process of clay molding. Cultural Exploration: Our projects are thoughtfully designed to connect clay art with various cultures from around the world. Through these projects, children will learn about diverse traditions and artistic expressions while appreciating the universality of clay as a medium of artistic communication. Individualized Instruction: With a low student-to-instructor ratio, each person receives personalized attention and guidance. We celebrate the uniqueness of every young artist and encourage them to explore their own creative path.
